Crochet handmade owls and Christmas

I have been crocheting owls to hang on the Christmas tree. My boyfriend cannot understand how owls can be Christmassy? I think they look rather nice especially with a bit of sparkle to them!

What do you think? Is anyone doing handmade Christmas? You do not have to  spend a lot of money at Christmas. It's all about being with the ones you love and probably a time to reflect and think ahead. I am looking forward to what handmade treats everybody will be receiving. I am also looking forward to the big roast!
